Really. If they're looking for 'sympathy' they'll find it between 'shit' and 'syphilis' in the dictionary.

Fabrice Tourre, the 31-year-old, Stanford-trained, French whiz kid working for Goldman out of London, was indignant. "I have been the target of unfounded attacks on my character and motives," Tourre told the Senate Permanent Committee on Investigations.

The Securities and Exchange Commission has charged Tourre and others bilked investors and pocketed huge bonuses with financial instruments designed to fail, Tourre said, but "I deny categorically the SEC's accusations, and I will defend myself in court against this false claim."
