Edited on Thu Apr-29-10 09:37 PM by Better Believe It
I wonder what President Obama will think in August and later this November about Atlantic coast offshore oil drilling?

Obama was for single payer health care and than rethunk it.

Later Obama was for a public option in health care and than rethunk it.

President Obama rethinks stuff a lot!

Cool!

9. And sticks to his position against offshore oil drilling before he changed it.

No more flip flopping, what he correctly accused John McCain of doing in the 2008 election. Oppose offshore oil drilling and stick to it President Obama!

Obama challenges McCain on offshore oil drilling, security
June 18, 2008

Obama and McCain also clashed over energy policies. McCain accused his Democratic opponent of recycling impractical ideas by supporting a tax on windfall oil company profits. Obama criticized his rival's proposed energy plan which called for an end to a federal moratorium on offshore oil drilling.

Obama was quick to criticize McCain for switching positions on offshore drilling. "I think he continues to find himself being pushed further and further to the right in ways that in my mind don't show a lot of leadership," he said.

Obama also said there is "no way that allowing offshore drilling would lower gas prices right now. At best you are looking at five years or more down the road."

11. You did your home work, and good for you, cause I have never believed
in oil movement (since the Exxon Valdez spill). There are other kinds of energy available and we should be exploring those and harvesting if available.

5. Why do you ask? Did Obama NOT change his mind on a number
issues that were important to those who elected him? Was he not FOR a PO before he was against it eg?

Was he not AGAINST mandated insurance before he was for it? And did he not state in the primaries that he was against Offshore drilling before changing his mind recently? Was he not FOR Public School education and support for teachers, (remember that moving speech he made about the value of teachers) before his Education Sec. started a war on teachers and the Public Schools?

I'm not sure what you think constructive criticism is. I understood that criticizing anyone is fine so long as it is factual. I think it's very constructive for citizens not to put blinders on regarding the people they elect. That is what Bush supporters did and we critized them for it. Now, we have people telling us that we need to put blinders on. How is that going to help anything?

8. Why don't you alert on the OP if you think it's not "constructive"?

What's with the ugly little snide remarks? - Obviously meant for the general audience, not "Mods" (otherwise, you would've contacted Mods directly). :wtf:

Then he ran for higher office and God got in the mix somehow.
