breaking news: 3 killed, at least 25 injured in tornado outbreak ...little rock, ark.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Three people have been killed and at least 25 injured in a tornado outbreak in Arkansas, authorities said late Friday night.

Department of Emergency Management spokeswoman Renee Preslar said that the hardest hit areas are Scotland and Shady Grove in Van Buren County and in Cleveland in Conway County.

Preslar said the deaths occurred in Scotland, about 60 miles north of Little Rock. She said that there also has been damage in Conway County, and that some people may be trapped in structures there.

Damage also was reported in Pulaski County, where the Arkansas State Police reported sightings of tornadoes in Culpepper, near Wrightsville and on Interstate 440 near Galloway Friday night.
