I believe the fishing industry in the gulf of mexico will tank. There is no way around it.
I doubt there will be much demand for fish from any region that is even remotely close to the areas that are immediately contaminated. I read in another thread here that one third of the fish consumed in the US comes from this region. I believe we are in for something. They are saying now that BP will cover all the damage done. I think this is ridiculous. This will hardly happen. They may pay for some of the cleaning, but the aftershocks of this will affect the entire US economy. I think we should force BP to compensate for all consequences of this, by any means necessary, even if it means the end of the company. I doubt however that our politicians have the will to carry through with such a thing.

1. After this fiasco - BP should be owned by the US gov't.
