Time to "grab a mop." John Morgan has volunteered to mop sludge.
I receive the emails for the spill updates. And BP is reimbursing volunteers at $10/hr. For me it's enough to keep me fed. I hate that the spill happened but if we don't do everything we can do to help stop the spread we will know the guilt. This is a disaster happening in slow motion and we need to grab a mop. Folks this is an opportunity to go do something, so I called the number and signed up to volunteer.
This is a call to service...for our country. Now is the time.

BP has indicated it will reimburse volunteers at the rate of $10 per hour. Contractors are also hiring people to support shoreline clean up. Contractor rates go as high as $18 per hour for supervisors.
