Thinking about a retirement plan, looking to invest in a positive direction long term, aggressive growth acceptable....

1. Solid state lighting is really hot right now.
LEDs are all the rage. The technology is advancing so rapidly, that it's hard to keep current.

I know this because we are trying to manufacture and sell high powered LED grow lights. By the time we get a design together, we have to change it because there's a new advance that we must incorporate.

BTW, we are looking for investors.

2. CREE for this, althought it is trading high right now.
Global Green (GGRN) is a penny stock focused on "greensteam" landfill-gas energy. Buy it under a dime, not over $0.13. Valcent tech (VCTPF) has an algae-oil vertical growth system that produces far more oil/acre than any pond, but it appears pretty stagnant. They also have a vertical growth vegetable farming system that is now deployed in what I would call "pilot" installations. Could be big in the future for desert agriculture. But like I said, the stock is stagnant and has been since their horrid reverse split last year.

Maybe the best option is to pick a green mutual fund and let their experts make the picks. But the temptation to pick a penny and cross your fingers is great...
