What If George W. Bush Had Called Gay Rights Activists 'Faggots?'

MRC’s Bozell Addresses Deliberate Spiking of Obama’s “Teabagger” Slur

Alexandria, VA – In the more than 24 hours since news broke that President Barack Obama uttered the disgusting sexual slur “teabaggers” in reference to the Tea Party movement, the Media Research Center (MRC) has confirmed that ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN have all refused to report the offense on their national television broadcasts.

Since news broke yesterday, Politico, The Washington Times and numerous other outlets have reported. Even liberal outlets like The Washington Post’s “Right Now” blog, The Atlantic and ABC News’ own “Political Punch” blog covered the alarming news. Yet the networks still refused to air it.

MRC President Brent Bozell questions how they can ignore this repulsive revelation:

“If President George W. Bush had slurred the gay-rights movement during his presidency, it would have immediately dominated the news of every single national media outlet. Reporters would have pummeled the Administration and demanded an explanation and apology for the offense, and rightly so. You don’t smear anyone – let alone fellow Americans who elected you to office – regardless of your political differences.

“Yet ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN haven’t even lifted an eyebrow since news broke that President Obama used the raunchy ‘teabagger’ slur to demean the hundreds of thousands of Americans who comprise the Tea Party movement. Reporters should be asking questions like:

• Does this fly in the face of Obama’s mantra of respect for diversity?
• Does he stand behind likening these Americans to a derogatory slang for oral sex?
• Is this hypocritical coming from the same Administration that was too squishy to use the phrase “War on Terror?”

“Instead, they spike coverage. Not because they didn’t know about it, but because it comes from the same radically liberal President whom they worked so hard to elect and it offends the same conservative group of Americans they have worked so hard to characterize as violent, racist, and homophobic.”

1. Ahahaha.
They're concerned about gay people's feelings? I bet.

They're pissed because a name that they proudly adopted has been found to mean something fucking hilarious.

4. That was my first thought as well...
...I'll bet any amount of money that what's said behind their holier-than-thou closed doors is one hell of a lot worse than "teabagger."

And yeah, if someone's too lazy or stupid to do a little research on their brand name before adopting it, they deserve everything that comes with it.

6. The last I saw him in the news it was his *analysis* of how the nightly news
didn't give as much coverage to the teabaggers as they did to the Million Man March and the ....GULP... anti-war demonstrations

As usual it was complete BS.

7. Silly Brent
One need not be gay to perform the act. One just needs a face and a bag.

This new whine is hilarious!

8. Wasn't it just a few short month's ago that the nit wit's walked around proudly saying they were
"Tea Baggers"? I'm sure youtube still might have a few vids showing Tea Baggers with signs telling folks to Tea Bag the Dem's before they Tea Bag us and how proud they were that they were so clever at coming up with a slogan that the whole movement could get behind. To bad they weren't clever enough to research the term, but then researching anything is against Tea Bagger mentality, why they might have to start questioning their stand on what Beck said was happening. So they choose the name and they will go down in history as Tea Baggers.
