Gallup: Enthusiasm gap for 2010 midterms shrinks to lowest level this year

It was 19 points.

Now it's 10.

Republicans losing their enthusiasm... or... the astroturf teabag movement crying wolf too many times?

Health Care Reform was supposed to be the end of the American economy as we knew it. Turned out to be false.

Obama's economic blueprints were disasters.... but now the economy is robustly turning and companies are starting to hire.

You can only go to the Fear-Uncertainty-and-Doubt well so many times. As the horror stories fail to materialize, the passions of Obama's opponents start to wane.

This gap will be down to zero by November... after 5 more months of rising job numbers, Americans seeing our troop levels in Iraq down to 50,000 in August, four straight quarters of 3%+ GDP growth, etc, etc, etc.

1. Republicans peaked really early
All of the rhetoric they are using is getting old with most people. The GOP enthusiasm is dropping rapidly, 11 points in one month is a big loss and at this point, they don't have much to get it back up.

4. The GOP needs a good old fashioned
successful terrorist attack to blame on Obama. They pray for it every day.
