I guess I must not be a Christian on the Right because I’ve never heard of him so clearly he wasn’t my “leader” since I didn’t follow.
How about outing all of the gay anchors in the news who use derisive homo-slurs like “teabagger” and tell us that “don’t ask don’t tell” is one of the pressing issues of the day. We should all KNOW as viewers why these issues are of utmost concernt to them. Why doesn’t the media “tell”?

A sinner can be sinful and still acknowledge that it is a sin.
Homosexual activists deny it is a sin at all.

I’ve never even heard of this George Rekers.
But, being what he apparently is, “ex-gay,” and doing what he apparently does, which is counsel homosexual males on coming out of homosexuality, I’d think he would have been targeted with some sort of effort to entrap and discredit him before now.
This story sounds a little too tailor-made for leftist media and militant gay activists on the one hand. On the other, maybe Reker actually is a fraud.
Hard to tell right now, but it does sound like a script right out of leftist bogeyman central casting. That makes me think we’re hearing a story that is at least in part a concoction.

Dr. Rekers has some pretty heavy credentials. I think we should reserve judgement until all the details come out. He could have just hired the guy as a legitimate assistant and not known of his sexual lifestyle choice.

If he is a former gay person, then is sounds like he’s possibly having a relapse. He’s apparently on record saying such things are wrong before God.
God doesn’t hate homosexuals. He hates their homosexual sexual actions.
Additionally...
God doesn’t hate heterosexuals. He hates their heterosexual actions outside of marriage.
