Lithuanian court reverses ban on gay pride parade
(Vilnius, Lithuania) A Lithuanian appeals court says a gay pride parade can go ahead as planned this weekend, overturning a ban imposed by a lower court that cited security concerns.

Law enforcement officials have warned that Saturday’s parade in downtown Vilnius could spark violence and should be canceled, an argument that swayed the lower court.

But the Supreme Administration Court said Friday that the rights to assembly and expression are guaranteed by the European Convention and the government is obligated to defend them.

1. Good for them. My paternal bloodline goes back to Lithuania. Gee...
I wonder if I'm entitled to any land over there?
