Dear Mommy
I miss you so much.
I miss you ordering me to mow the lawn.
I miss you ordering me to clean my room.
I miss your warm embrace.
I miss your kisses that could ease the pain of the worst in injury.
I miss your comforting reassurance that of the entire world, YOU believe in me.
I miss your ability to solve differences between us kids without ever remotely implying you love any one of us more than the other.
Every Relationship I have had I wished for your perspective and guidance.

I miss all the Love you would have given me over the last 25 years.

yet another mothers day has come. All the resentment of others that still have and take for granted their Mothers... I will try to supress as you would have me do.

I will be coming to see you today. I might talk to you.
I Know you will not answer.
I wont get any advice, Wanted so yearningly.
The cold Granite that has your name etched in it will not Hug me back.
I wont bring flowers as you cant see smell or appreciate them.
I know if you could, you would Wipe away my tears and ease my pain. BUT we both Know if you could, I would not be in this pain to begin with.

I still Miss you so much.

Happy Mother day.

4. Thank You
I am gathering up the courage to go to the cemetery now. After 25 years it never gets any easier, I suppose it never will.

8. Your story has touched me. I'm at the other end of the spectrum and
maybe this will help. Although my mother is very old and I have enjoyed many conversations, it's the advice and wisdom of her words, when she was building my roots, that I most frequently savor. A lot of her words from back then still work for me today.

11. P.S. I have a journal I write in sometimes, a journal to my Mom. I started it
shortly after she died. When I miss her the most, I write in it to her and it feels like she can "hear" me then.

As my parents have lost their parents, I make myself think about what life will be like for me when they are gone, and try not to take them for granted.
