Attacks throw light on Montana’s medical marijuana boom
Stores struck as Billings considers moratorium

HELENA, Mont. — Someone threw a Molotov cocktail through the window of a Billings medical marijuana business early yesterday and spray-painted “Not in Our Town’’ on its storefront, the second such act in as many days, authorities said.

The incidents came as the Billings City Council was scheduled to vote last night on whether to place a six-month moratorium on new medical marijuana businesses opening in the city.

A rock was used to break the glass of Montana Therapeutics at 4:30 a.m. yesterday, and a beer bottle filled with gasoline was lighted and thrown inside, Billings police Sergeant Kevin Iffland said. A passerby reported the fire.

The small blaze was put out quickly, Deputy Fire Marshal Trevor Schilling said.

A day earlier, at about 5 a.m., surveillance video showed two young men spray-painting “Not in Our Town’’ on the front of Big Sky Patient Care, then throwing a rock through the front door followed by a flaming bottle, Big Sky owner David Couch said.

15. They had to grow it themselves or procure it illegally
...at least they did in this state. People cant seem to grasp the fact that medical marijuana patients aren't 'stoners.'

7. Probably street dealers wanting their customers back.
That's a common practice among Crack dealers. The quickest way to get rid of the competition is to burn their house down. If that doesn't get rid of you. They go to your new house, set it on fire, and shoot you when you come running out.

Like the moon shiners quality control board. It's a 2x4. It moves real quick. You couldn't miss it if you tried and most people do try to miss it. It's like they say in the back woods. There's nothing worse than a bunch of blind people shooting at your house until they get their sight back. It's all about checks and balances. A feral form of democracy. It just need to be domesticated.

18. Yep, the criminals hate sick people who need pain relief
Sad that they co-opted the slogan used years ago in Billings to rally neighbors to fight anti-Semitic violence that a few dip-shit bigots were doing.

The vast majority of Billings residents decided that they weren't gonna accept that in their town. People all over put menorahs in their windows to show solidarity with the Jewish community that was under attack by some creeps. The Gazette printed a double page menorah for people to put in their windows.

Looks like the dip-shits are back. But my guess is this IS more about cottage industry than anything else. I hope so, anyway. I know Billings watches too much FAUX now, but I hope the majority still have humanity and prefer that people in pain can get relief.
