6. Then the people need to make them responsible
Oppose every permit, every permit modification, every lease sale, every development in which BP has a stake.
Find out which legislators served the interests of BP and target them.

I heard today that Transocean has filed a motion in federal court to limit their liability to $27 million under a 19th century law that has nothing to do with this kind of situation and predates the oil industry.

This is the sort of corporatist and elite slight of hand we can expect from BP, Transocean, Halliburton and their toadies in all branches of government as the consequences of this disaster play themselves out over the coming decades.

7. Check their pockets stuffed with $$$ from Oil Companies
I really don't understand how many of politicans could take money from the corporations to vote their way against the best interest of the environment, ecosystem, marine/wildlife and The People. This should be outlawed, made illegal. If they are not doing their job for the country and for the people why the hell are they in there? Such useless assholes!!!

Why are us The People feeling helpless? The government should be afraid of us. We need to go after them and demand they do their job for us The People and Our Country even though American is no longer the Country as it's now The Corporation.

:grr:

8. Imagine that. How many BILLION did BP make last year?
I'm sure they have the cash to get enough members of Congress to see things their way.

14. What's good since the corporations now own the government?
They're in bed together against the best interest of us The People, Environment, Ecosystem, Ecomony, etc.

We should do something about that. Soon!

17. Yes, that is the pathetic reality.
You have batshit crazy zealots on the right and, for all intents and purposes, Reagan on the left. At this point no matter how you vote it seems the destination is the same, it's only the elevator music that's different. Things are clearly going to get MUCH MUCH worse before they get better.

We should have stuck to the old word, "privateering."

21. Time for the Democrats to hold a press conference...
...and beat this drum loud and long: even while an oil gusher is destroying the Gulf, Republican senators are protecting the corporations from the consequences of their own greed.
