4. Recap
"The big banks make money by taking the bailout money we gave them and lending it back to the government with interest."

For some reason this video won't play for me. Anyway, here's the recap they list.

5. Jon details how J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America and Citigroup...
Jon details how J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America and Citigroup all made money every single day of the last 60 days. The market goes up? They all made huge profits. The market goes down? They all made huge profits. The market really doesn't move much at all? You get the picture.

He also detailed the wonderful scam that they have going that enabled this seemingly impossible feat. They got bailout money at 0% interest, and are lending that money back to the government, with interest.

It's such an absurd situation that it would be hilarious if it weren't so damned sad.

9. No problem.
God, how can you deal with dialup? Just browsing webpages on dialup is like sucking a watermelon through a straw.

10. As long as I don't use anyone else's - or the library's - high speed

i forget how fast surfing can really be.

i call it my ADDSL.

i start loading three pages, leave the room to feed critters or sit here and pick a song on the guitar or roll a cigarette and by the time I'm done the pages are ready.

So, yeah, it sucks.

But it's better than nothin'!

:hi:

11. I can't speak for anyone else's situation, but I'm stuck with dialup because I have no choice.
I live in a rural area, there's no cable out here, no wifi, no alternative. I can't even get cell phone signals or digital TV.

I could get internet via satellite, but it's hugely expensive -- and that's all you'd get, just internet -- no TV, no phone service.

So, dial-up it is. A person just has to live with it. A 3 minute video clip takes 4-6 hours to download, so I never bother even trying.
