Has the oil spill made the Cheneys disappear?
Edited on Sat May-15-10 01:07 PM by K8-EEE
Is it just my perception or have Dick & Liz gone back under their respective rocks ever since the BP disaster?

2. They are resting in their coffins, ready to rise by night.
Never fear; they will be back. It will take a proverbial wooden stake to be rid of them.

My bet is he'll become vocal if there's talk of bringing him before Congress. He knows he's culpable yet again.

5. You're right. I bet Cheney is retracing all his meetings with oil criminals...
And The Evil One is trying to insulate himself from any incriminating evidence. Cheney had 6 secret energy meetings with Ken Lay, the corporate mobster, and we still don't know what they did because Cheney fought to keep those records private. But how many records are there of Cheney's meetings with oil criminals? He can't cover up all of the evil he did. In a just world, evil thugs like Cheney would be imprisoned for the rest of his life. I've seen a lot of presidents, and I thought Nixon was evil, but Bush & Cheney are the most evil leaders this country has ever had. Nixon looks like a saint compared to Bush & Cheney. And by today's standards Nixon would be a liberal.

29. Yep
He probably has dozens of shredder working as we speak getting rid of any evidence that might link him to his crimes! He also is probably putting all his money in off shore accounts in Saudi Arabia someplace so he can make fast getaway if he needs to and have his money someplace where the U.S. can't touch it!

I have to agree, when it comes to "evil" Bush & Cheney are at the top of the list, of course Bush was more like the village idiot with Cheney pulling all the strings! I can't wait for an investigation and watch as the two of them start playing the "blame" game and attacking each other. Of course I won't hold my breath waiting for that investigation!

10. Perhaps that question should be put to the media
They're the ones who keep putting these ne'r-do-well has-beens out in the limelight, time after time after time...

Why aren't they pursuing the story on these criminals?

I'm kidding, folks. This is a horrible environmental disaster.

IIRC someone posted here that when Lizard was on one of last Sunday's talk shows, one of the other panelists mentioned the oil spill and she glared at him. I think it was on Faux - she was presumably on to rant about the Times Square failed bombing.

Here's the link to that:

"They discussed the Times Square bomber and the stock market drop but, for some unknown reason, they never discussed the oil spill in the Gulf. I wonder why? They must have made a deal not to talk about it so Liz would come back on the show, was the impression I came away with? Mara Liaisson brought it up in passing, while talking about another subject, and Liz gave her the evil eye and it was discussed no further. Did anyone watch the entire show?"

edited to add link

18. REALLY? That's interesting!
I never turn on Fox but it seemed like she was yammering on (usually dissing Obama about whatever) CONSTANTLY on a lot of media outlets and covered in print as well, and it's like, why is this awful woman all over the airwaves? Did she do something important, did she get elected to some office or something?

16. The Dickster (R) has a special deferment
That he can add to the five (5) freaking military deferments he got to keep his republicon war-profiteering butt safe at home -- a typical republicon Family Values strategery to avoid responsibility.

Liz is surely grinding her ax with her terrorist mantras. But there hasn't been a peep about the oil catastrophe.

I don't want to here from them unless it's squealing like pigs over being arrested.

32. Yes we all know what side of the "oil v. life" side they're on
I fully expect the lame-ass GOP to keep up the rhetoric that over-consumption of oil is "our way of life" as the very oil wipes out whole eco-systems and whole regional economies.
