Interesting article about budget deficits
http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/finance/edmundconway/100005702/us-faces-one-of-biggest-budget-crunches-in-western-world-imf/

This appears in the UK Telegraph and I don't know enough about the author to know if he has any particular agenda or not. But if there is any credence to this article, then it looks like the US has a big hill to climb in paying down it's debt.

And yes, I am aware that to a lot of people, deficits are only important during Democratic administrations, and they gave Bush a pass. But be that as it may, I am still worried about what the future holds for our economy.

And you better believe that if the GOP gets back in power they will use this deficit as an excuse to make drastic cuts to social programs while at the same time refusing to raise taxes on their rich friends.
