7. Was that man perceptive or what?
What he says is a fact. Even the dummied down American should be starting to recognize this by now.

2. that Carlin video
if there was one youtube vid that puts my entire point of view on American Corporations into one place, it's that classic routine of Carlin's!

People should be starting a new religion over this bit. It's that good!

3. If corporations wouldn't hire illegals then they wouldn't come.
we need to punish companies who hire them. But we also need to punish those who do break our laws.

4. Legislation like that does not hit the mega corporations.
It hits the small employer who accepts at face value false documents because they can not check or the person who hires a cleaner.

You can pass legislation like that all day long. Neo Con Labour did all day every day. No big companies have been prosecuted but several small Indian restaurants have.

It doesn't mean the big corporations don't take advantage of illegal employment, they absolutely do. They just have better lawyers that can tie up any attempts at enforcement, so they bypass enforcement.

5. We must stop blaming the corporations. They are doing their jobs. Congress isn't, and the
voters who reelect Congress aren't.

By law, upheld by the supreme court, corporations have a duty to maximize their profits.

There used to be limiting laws. They didn't expire. They were removed by Congress. You may have noticed that Congress is all about shifting blame, we must be all about fixing it.

And virtually any business, corporate or not, seeks to maximize its profits.
