The moment that Barack Obama was elected, and indeed at the height of the anti-HCR protests with Fox News leading the charged, we were promised that Republicans would take back Congress in 2010. Indeed, the script read that Republicans must filibuster everything, just say no, the American public will only blame the Democrats, and the Republicans can then waltz into control of Congress. 2010 was going to be 1994. Rince and repeat 1000x on the mainstream media as polls that support this theory as breathlessly repeated regardless of how obscure they are. Indeed, we are repeatedly inundated with polls that most Americans regard Barack Obama and Democrats as "too liberal."
However, a funny thing has occurred on our trip back to 1994 as Republicans began taking a victory lap, and Tea Party activists ramped up for Sarah Palin in 2012:
