Palin's Pink Pachyderms
Edited on Mon May-17-10 03:25 PM by madamesilverspurs
This from the AP today:

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Conservative favorite Sarah Palin is headed to Colorado — but one Republican isn't happy about her timing. Republican Senate candidate Ken Buck said Monday that it's “rude” for the former Alaska governor to headline a Denver speech on Saturday, hours after the state GOP gathers for a statewide assembly in Loveland, about 50 miles from Denver.

Last week, Palin included Buck's rival in positive comments to an anti-abortion group. Palin called former Lt. Gov. Jane Norton and other conservative women “pink elephants” who would succeed in office. Buck and Norton are both seeking the Republican nomination. Both Palin and Buck are favorites of conservatives and tea party groups.

***

Not to put too fine a point on it, but aren't 'pink elephants' the euphemistic term for drunken hallucinations? Hah, it could be that Palin has finally delivered the phrase that best describes her own presence on the political stage...

1. Don't pink elephants stand for drunkenness?
Don't these people look up stuff before they get all cute with their labels. Remember the teabag label?

5. NO!
"When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, "it means just what I choose it to mean -- neither more nor less." And if you relate it back to drunken hallucinations, it just means you're an America-hating librul, that's all. And once she's in the White House, Mrs. Palin is gonna know how to deal with the likes of you!

Man, I'm beginning to think that Alice should be replaced by Sarah in Wonderland.

9. Wouldn't Sarah make a good Queen of Hearts instead?
I can hear her yelling, "Off with their heads!"

Alice does have common sense, which seems really lacking in Wonderland.

2. There is no end to Palin's stupidity and cutesy-cutesy
labeling of people. Her endorsements are the kiss of death anyway.

4. Yep...
That's what pink elephants mean, drunken hallucinations. Guess maybe it was one of those freudian slips, and it could explain a lot of things, like here speeches that ramble on, make no sense and jump from one subject to another and back again! The damned "pink elephants" can really mess you up at times!

8. Why does Palin always...
use animals reference when referring to women? Pitbulls, grizzles, and now elephants. WTF is up with that. Also, does anyone else find it ironic that many of the baggers/right wing radio say that black people only voted for Obama because he's black, yet Palin is endorsing women...cuz they're women.

What's the difference? Why is ok, to vote for, or endorse someone simply based on gender. Their logic is logical.

Is Rush going to bitch about the fact that Palin's endorsement are because of gender? I won't hold my breath.
