Dorgan Amendment to Ban Naked CDS Tabled
Senator Dodd (D-CT) offered the motion to table the Dorgan(D-N.D.) Amendment which would ban the use of naked credit default swaps. Senator Dodd offered the presence of unintended consequences due to the ban of naked CDS as a principal reason for tabling this amendment.

Ayes 56
Nays 38

Thus, the motion to table the Dorgan Amendment is agreed to.
