Morning Joe rips into Paul and Gingrinch
Edited on Thu May-20-10 08:16 AM by Mike Daniels
Tool that he is, Joe Scarborough didn't have many kind words for Rand Paul or Newt today (at least between 6 and 7:15 a.m.).

Drawing on Paul's gaff regarding private businesses and discrimination Joe said that Paul took a sure election victory in Kentucky and turned it into a even match in the course of that interview.

He also tore into Gingrich's comments about how Obama was looking to turn the US into Hitler's Germany or Stalin's Russia.

I know the saying about a blind pig and an acorn but I find it interesting that while Joe speaks out regarding Rand and Newt and the Republicans further marginalizing themeselves the leadership (including Rush) keeps silent (which Joe also had some harsh things to say about).

2. Paul turned a "sure" election victory into an "even match"?

Hellooooo--EACH of the Dem candidates got more votes than Rand did! Even when Scarborough is right, he's wrong--GOP Uber alles, indeed!

4. Joe is a lockstep kinda guy
He likes his conservatism plain vanilla, no sprinkles and doesn't like these "upstarts" who are saying things that don't conform to the conservative mainstream.

7. Rush, Gingrich, Paul...
Here's what gets me. The article quotes these guys saying:

Newt: the President's "secular-socialist machine represents as great a threat to America as Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union once did."

Rush: "Obama's got a health care logo that's right out of Adolf Hitler's playbook;" "Obama is asking citizens to rat each other out like Hitler did"

Paul... tells us that he would not have voted for the 1964 Civil Rights Act because he apparently believes that privately owned restaurants should be allowed to discriminate against African Americans.

Yes, the reds are suspiciously silent. Apparently none of this is a big deal, but boy did they try to demonize Obama over Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Seems that it's ok for the conservatives to do it.

9. When they talk about the two party system
They're talking about its our, meaning the :puke: way or no way. First thing the pukes said when Clinton was elected was pretty much what they said when Obama was elected and that was he won't get anything past us, we'll fight him every step of the way. They then proceeded to do just that, Both times, hell even with Carter were they the same way. The Dems need to hit on this :puke: hipocracy every chance they get.

BTW, welcome to DU :hi:
You'll like it here I can already tell. :-)
Peace
