Just curious....after watching the 60 minutes piece....

how big is an 'annulator' on a rig? that must be some mighty big piece of rubber.

I'm not defending or denying or leadin anyone anywhere.....I'm just curious. When they saw big chunks of rubber showing up at the surface......how much rubber is there on that thing? How BIG is it?

Or is this just more "hokum" to keep us *masses* distracted?

4. I'm sending to our local news folks

Our governor flies in the plane with the CEO of BP and they both come back and say "the oil isn't anywhere near the Mississippi Coast" - yet tar balls are washing up, parts of the oil rig are washing up and it smells like a refinery outside.

I think the media needs to ask BP and our government folks about the "right way to boom".

5. Yes, that video does *more than suggest* that the oil damage can be largely

kept out-of-the-bay(ou)....

Katrina and now "this"....how much can *poor* people bear?

Seems like TPTB are testing the psychological limits, imho.

it was a replay, and one of the pricks said they are pretty big (can't remember specifics of size), but he did say that it wouldn't be unusual for a 12 inch chunk to come off.

You can probably go to Cspan and watch it. I can't remember if it was the senate or house, but it was on during the day yesterday.

7. I don't think its hokum

the 60 minutes piece is very damning of BP

It shows that BP was calling the shots and it shows that the BOP was compromised in about 5 ways at once, and that they knew it and did nothing.

It also shows that BP made the final call to remove the drill mud *before* the last plug was installed which led to the blowout.

It also shows they are running other rigs with the same disregard for safety.

there's nothing really in the entire piece that shows BP in a good light.
