Idaho Tea Party Gather To Protest Sarah Palin...

revolt against Teabagger Queen?

http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/05/idaho-tea-partier-to-protest-taxes-health-care-sarah-palin.php?ref=fpi

Out in Idaho, one tea party Republican has had enough of Sarah Palin.

Lucas Baumbach, who's running for the state senate, is angry that Palin is butting in to the Republican race to unseat U.S. Rep. Walt Minnick (D). What's worse, she's endorsing the other guy.

"I think she should let Idahoans pick for themselves instead of shoving a candidate down our throats," he told TPMDC in an interview today.

Baumbach supports Raul Labrador, a conservative state representative who openly supports repealing the 17th Amendment. But Palin is stumping for Vaughn Ward, who was the Nevada state director for John McCain's presidential campaign, by headlining a fund-raiser tomorrow night.

So, as the Idaho Reporter originally reported, Baumbach is organizing an anti-Palin protest outside the rally He said he expects about 200 people, many of them from the local tea party.

"I'm a big fan of Palin's in the past, but I have to question whether the money's going to her head," Baumbach said...<snip>

5. It's time more told Palin where to stick it... she's out for the money, pure and
simple. I can't believe so many are so ignorant as to fall for her self interest money game for her personal financial benefit and fame. Just how damn lame can these people be that support Palin... well, pretty damn lame. Sounds like Baumbach has been deprogrammed from Palin groupies. And these publicity hounds like Palin do need to butt out of other state elections.

7. Oh jeez.
Guess that means I'd be labeled a TP'er if I went downtown to protest Her Screechiness as well. Maybe if I carried a sign with some extra long correctly spelled words?

10. Baumbach couldn't come up with Palin's $100K fee.
Sorry, that's the way it works Baumbach. Spontaneous grassroots and all that.

13. They're just mad at everybody and don't know why
Which is Movement Conservatism in a nutshell. Teabaggers are the distilled essence of the kind of "involved citizen" the Right has nurtured for decades. Now they're smothering under an embarrassment of riches.

14. Really, the 17th amendment?
Baumbach supports Raul Labrador, a conservative state representative who openly supports repealing the 17th Amendment.

So he's against popular election of Senators and thinks we should go back to having our government chosen for us, yet he thinks Sarah Palin shouldn't be "shoving a candidate down our throats".

No, apparently Baumbach thinks he and Labrador should be the only people shoving Senate candidates down people's throats.
