The stock market is closed. No screaming yo-yo's putting everybody on edge.

1. What amazes me is
if you read in between the lines... those in the know expected a 1000 point drop due to Europe.

Me not that worried, or screaming... but then again will not check on that obsessively. I worry more of the spread with the LIBOR than the Stock Exchange quite frankly.

2. No kidding, only the people who think CNBC gives them good info
were at all surprised by this. Most of us who surf the web and have located all the people who foresaw the initial meltdown have been well warned about the imminent collapse of the PIIGS, possibly taking the Euro with them.

What I find most frightening here is that nobody outside DU is mentioning what this country needs to do to pay the debt down, get people working, and regain stability: reinstitute a progressive tax structure and cut the Pentagon budget, abandoning Empire in the process. Even the bravest out there aren't that brave, apparently.

I will continue to be frightened by the situation across the globe until I read a published article mentioning these things.

At least they now know there is a systemic problem. I just wonder how long it will take to dawn on them what needs to be done to fix it.

3. Even CNBC slips from time to time
usually when covering furiegn markets, with furiegn analysts.

:-)

Those I catch on the jumping from station to station. Those are moments when I have to ask... why are they actually going THERE and not the FEAR and TRUST US, BUY NOW crappola.
