So, we fuck around and lose another seat in Congress

Two Democrats and one Republican run against each other, who do you think wins?

Why do we call this a Party when it hosts so many disappointments?

Here's the reporting on it straight from the horse's ass:

Republicans Win Seat in Democratic Stronghold

The streak ends at 11.

For the first time since, May, 2008, House Republicans have won a special election.

Republican Charles Djou topped Democrats Colleen Hanabusa and former Rep. Ed Case (D-HI) to succeed retired Rep. Neil Abercrombie (D-HI) in Congress. Before Djou’s victory, Democrats had won 11 consecutive special elections. The stretch included a win last Tuesday by Rep. Mark Critz (D-PA) to succeed the late-Rep. Jack Murtha (D-PA). Many political handicappers expected Republican Tim Burns to win that contest and viewed the race as a barometer for how the political winds may blow this fall.

Djou secured 39.5 percent of the vote. Meantime, the two Democratic candidates, Hanabusa and Case combined to score nearly 60 percent of the vote. But that splintered the Democratic impact and allowed Djou to squeak through.
Republicans are still reeling from Tuesday night’s defeat in Pennsylvania and sought to portray this as a repudiation of President Obama on his home turf. Mr. Obama is a native of Hawaii and lived in that Congressional district as a child."

More at that filthy link.

1. This loss was because the local party could not get their shit together
overall, since Nov 08 we're 7-1 not bad during a time when we're allegedly going down.

3. The loss was because the National Party could not get the local Party to act like they had a brain.
Democrats took 60% of the vote and lost the race.

7. D.C leaders were telling people in Hawaii who they wanted as a congress person
D.C. leaders were shocked when Hawaii state party leaders told them to fuck themselves.

4. It is a big deal when it clearly shows that there is no unity or control at the National level

15. How does a local election that allows all comers say anything about the National Party?
Your logic eludes me.

11. I am pretty sure we will that seat in Nov.
But it is really stupid that we could not win it now. Case was an idiot.

6. National DNC/DCCC fighting with the State DNC
Neither willing to back down.

I side with the State DNC, I have not been impressed with the National DNC. In fact, I kind of hate the National DNC now that Dean is no longer there, and always hated the DCCC.

9. We need Howard Dean back as DNC head. It's that simple.
It's not gonna happen, but we need him, all the same.

13. Lose Another Seat?
fill me on on which other seats the Democrats have lost? I don't get the reason for gnashing of teeth and rending of garments based on a link to faux noise at the best of times.
