Solution to gusher, not 100% serious but to make a point.

Ever seen the refrigerated tubes of dough for rolls and croissants? they're like 2" in diameter and then you bap them on the counter and they unravel spirally and expand to 3+" in diameter...

Drop some expandable tube down INTO the hole and when they're way down there, expand them...

Now I'm about 99.9999% sure that this doesn't work... BUT why isn't BP, the Coast Guard, NOOA, James Cameron, the Tooth Fairy or AquaMan down there at the wellhead EVERY DAY, trying shit? Anything...

I mean, lol... it's been 5 weeks and it might be 5 more. Maybe 5 MONTHS more?

obviously... I'm no engineer. But I'd like to see them throwing everything at it...

Put it this way... if it wasn't oil and it was some super toxic fluid that would kill every human in the area, millions of deaths within days... would the reaction be any different?

they're going to try to force rubber and special heavy mud into the shaft to close off the flow of oil.
