Drilling for oil is a privilege as well, granted in our country and it's waters by the government.

2. Unfortunately, you can keep your driving privileges, no matter your transgressions . . .
provided you have enough money and crafty-enough attorneys.

That's another reality of our country, also supported by the government.

3. You can lose your license for not having insurance no matter how well you drive.
Of course, we all would prefer that you had insurance even though the people with insurance drive like BP operated the Deepwater Horizon: wrecklessly. The law doesn't quite have it right with driving and they are much further off when it comes to corporate crimes.

4. There's a guy here in PA who lost his license because his docter reported him to PennDOT for...
...admitting he sometimes drinks a six pack over the course of an evening. He has a completely clean driving record, has never been charged with DUI, and had no idea there was a problem until he received a license suspension notice in the mail with an order to surrender his physical license. Apparently that's legal in PA. If PennDOT has ANY reason to suspect that someone may be an "unsafe driver", they can suspend the license indefinitely. He's lost every legal attempt to recover his license.
