Source: Folks Admitted to Haley Affair a Year Ago
by Corey Hutchins, May 24th 11:17am

<!---->

Former Sanford spokesman and FITSNews blogger Will Folks privately admitted a year ago to having a brief extramarital affair with GOP gubernatorial contender S.C. Rep. Nikki Haley, according to a Palmetto State Republican political operative.

<!---->

Amid longstanding questions at the State House about the alleged affair, a source told Free Times several weeks ago that Folks, a former spokesman for Gov. Mark Sanford, called him in 2009 and admitted it was true.

<!----> On his blog, FITSnews.com, Folks wrote on May 24 that he’d had an “inappropriate physical relationship” with Haley “several years ago.”

<!----> Folks wrote that he decided to come forward because he believed the story would come out in the media.

<!----> Free Times has been investigating a story involving an alleged affair between Haley and Folks for several weeks and spoke with Folks about it May 14.

“I am told that at least one story based upon this information will be published this week,” Folks wrote on May 24.

<!----> Haley was married at the time of the alleged affair; Folks says he got married in June of that year.

1. What has happened to SC? I lived there from 1987 to 1994.
I recognized that there were a lot of hypocrytes there...people who denounced drinking alcohol but secretly did themselves; people who said gambling was the work of the devil but gambled; and of course everyone despised sex before marriage or cheating on a spouse whilev their state lead in unwed teen pregnancies andsecretivecheating, but geesh!!! The public officials weren't doing that stuff, or at least they were clever enough not to get caught! Forst it was te scandal of Sanfrod and now a candidate for Governor WITH a spokesman for Sanford?

I'm not saying this stuff doesn't happen everywhere, but it sure sounds to me like SC really ought to give up their pretension of the buckle of the Bible Belt!!!
