...to Blago trying to SELL an appointment to the Senate!!
Clearing a path for a preferred candidate by offering a challenger an open position he's eminently qualified for VS selling a senate seat.

They are REALLY stretching on this one. But get ready to hear that meme the rest of the day.

2. Yesterday, David Axelrod made the rounds on a few shows and his response to this was unacceptable.
It was looked into, and nothing improper or wrong was done. End of story.

Sorry, David, but that really isn't good enough. We're supposed to trust an internal "investigation" without details as the final authority? Perhaps if the Obama Administration really had been as transparent as they promised, perhaps if the Obama Administration had investigated the illegal shenanigans of Bushco, perhaps then we'd believe you.

But none of this has happened. You have to EARN trust. You haven't.

There's more to this story than we know, and they'd best let it all out now or it will slowly eat away at them until November.

4. Joe was yelling at the outset of the program. He was on a rant yesterday and is
on another one today. He's mad because the latest poll shows Blumenthal beating McMahon by double digits.

Mika was yelling at him, "What's the matter with you?"

The man is unhinged...I bailed on the show at 7:30, even tho it would have been nice to see Eugene Robinson and Katrina Vandenheuval, but I was just fed up...

11. While there's no comparison with Blago, since no money was involved,
The fact of the matter is that it looks rather fishy to be offering a primary opponent a job in the administration in order to clear the way for your preferred favorite. Especially when that favorite was Specter, who is certainly not a Democrat.

The administration would have done better to simply stay out of it. Sure, endorse Specter if you really wanted to, but going around offering jobs to his opponents, that's certainly not ethical.

12. From a political standpoint, the WH must find a way to get this story
out of the news. Leave it on the table for Republicans
to chew on, leads to a Bill Clinton Repeat. Issa is asing
for Special Prosecutor.

No matter the reality, if Americans here Special Prosecutor
their interpretation--this is really bad. Facts do not matter.
Perception is reality in Politics.

Personally I do not think this is a serious issue. I have lived
to long and watched the cunning Republicans. Get this issue
off the TV as soon as possible.

Basically said what the O.P. says, adding that this is way off the table of the big problems to address.

14. I respect VandenHouvel to the utmost. I agree with her that this
is not that important when considering all that is before us.

Let us be honest. Who gets their way ---the GOP or Katrina????

To wait an permit the breathless--Special Prosecutor be the
repeated Mantra will be a mistake that is hard to walk back.

I am glad Katrina was there and pushed back.
