Oil Spotters Sought For Brevard Beaches
Brevard Agencies Seek Volunteers To Monitor Shorelines
BREVARD, Fla. -- Volunteers are needed to monitor Brevard County's shoreline for oil from the Deepwater Horizon spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
Keep Brevard Beautiful and the Brevard County Emergency Management Office are managing the volunteers.
Each volunteer will be assigned a half-mile section of the beach to monitor on a daily basis. Sections will be assigned nearest to the volunteer's residence, Local 6 News partner Florida Today reported.
Anyone interested in volunteering or being a site captain to coordinate other volunteers should e-mail kbboilspillvolunteers@yahoo.com. Please include name, address, city, zip code, age, contact numbers and availability.
http://www.clickorlando.com/news/23670711/detail.htmlUse drones, satellites, have BP pay for people to watch for oil - after all they pay a lot to find oil all the time.
Not against people volunteering or helping though, just a shame they have to.
