Of course, no one has bothered to point out this obvious fact.
There has been plenty of thought put into the question posed by Limbaugh, Hannity, and others in the media about what they are calling "Obama's Katrina". This charge has been the basis for much spirited debate. All kids of data are being used as metrics to determine if this charge is in fact true.
They are all missing the point.
When Katrina happened, these same commentators bent over backwards to claim that Bush could not possibly have done a better job of handling the Katrina tragedy. They spent months defending Bush and calling anyone who blamed him for the untold death and suffering as delusional, or worse.
Well, I think the term "Obama's Katrina" reveals very well that they know just how badly Bush handled that situation. The question I have is this:
Is anyone going to bother pointing out that every last one of these right-wing commentators claimed that Bush was doing a swell job? Does that fact not totally discredit anything these clowns have to say about the oil spill?
