Bobby Jindal is really pissed at Mr. Obama...
Wants to know why the president hasn't done more to stop the run-away well in the Gulf. The GOP "thinks" Obama should run BP and the oil "Experts" off the job and replace it with the US military. Somehow I don't think that "Shock And Awe" is the answer this time either Bobby!

Trust the GOP to inject political venom into anything that ever happens.

1. wouldn't that be socialism??? i thought government wasn't supposed to
bother the poor wittle companies. i mean, you sure didn't want regulations that would have prevented this from even happening in the first place.

privatize profits, nationalize liability

a company if it directly effects THEM and gets THEM what they want. If it effects the general public than no go.

His triple back flip flop in a pike position looks a bit fishy his dismount kind of sucked and I hope he sticks that unhappy landing in a low bucket of BP BS.

Meanwhile his fellow team GOPers dave Vitter and Mr. Steel get both get a 7.0 on the whore-a-zontal bondage bars. They both kind of waffled on their dismounts and Dave made a squishy landing.

9. Bobby started playing politics the first day this started.
Bobby seems to care more about Bobby than about doing anything of any value to really solve anything. Running all over the coast with a camera crew getting his face on the TV for free, seems to be his major goal right now.

We must be on the same wavelength or something.

Every time they show that Janus want-to-be on TV I get more and more angry. All he ever did was rail against the loss of state's rights and now he's using this disaster as a self promoting, look at me and where's the closest camera opportunity to get free political airtime.

It goes without saying that he's the epitome of a Republican politician.

Or same warpath? I've been on the DU wavelength since 2001 and I welcome you to the fray!

I've been on the same warpath since about 1955, when I started the first grade.(which BTW, I finished in 1956)

36. That was a very good year (1956). I was born that year.
I only wish that I had aged like a fine wine.

I didn't find the DU wavelength until the day after the shrub was re-elected (not the correct term I know). I simply googled the phrase "Anti-bush" and guess what one of the websites was that popped up? That was the day that my enlightenment really began to take shape. I've learned more here than I ever could have learned in school.

Of course, that means that I've discovered that there's a lot of evil out there that I didn't know about before. I've also learned a lot of useful ways to combat that evil so the education has been worth it.

My health issues limit my ability to be on the physical warpath, but being retired does afford me the opportunity to stage electronic warfare against the wrongs that I see. As soon as I recover more of my health, I'll be able to take a more direct physical approach. It really sucks to live in Bill Shuster's district!

To quote my Dad: The more that I get to know people, the more that I love animals.

16. Here are his actual words from last year
In his 2009 GOP response to Obama’s speech: “… we need urgent action to keep energy prices down” including “increase drilling for oil and gas here at home.” He also believes that “Democratic leaders in Washington – they place their hope in federal government. We {the Republicans} place our hope in you, the American people. …. We oppose the National Democratic view that says the way to strengthen our country is to increase dependence on government.”

38. Consider Haley Barbour's response to Wolf Blitzer
BLITZER: So Bobby Jindal, your colleague from Louisiana, we just heard him. He's passionate. He's deeply concerned, for obvious reasons, about what's going on. If this "top kill" procedure, Governor, doesn't work, how worried are you that this will expand and Mississippi could find itself in the same place as Louisiana?

BARBOUR: Well, there's no question that we're at risk. And the tides and the winds and -- have blessed us. And Louisiana, of course, is much closer to the well site than we are. And we feel terrible that we are trying to help them any way we can and any resources that we can make available to them.

But if this "top kill" does not work and the well continues to spew out oil, it actually, as you said earlier, it could come out at a faster rate, because in the process, they may blow it more wide open, so to speak.

We are prepared in Mississippi. We have a multi-layered defense to defend our shores. We've got hundreds of vessels that are ready to go.

And -- but, yes, the best thing that could happen to everybody is if today we stop the amount of oil that is streaming out and then focus on cleaning up what's already out there.

BLITZER: When you say you're prepared for that worst case scenario, what are you doing?

BARBOUR: Well, we have about 750 vessels that are -- that we're in the process of training. Most of them have been trained now, with their crews, to fight the oil off our barrier islands, then to try to prevent it from getting between the passes, between the barrier islands, keep from getting into the Mississippi Sound.

link

I don't for a minute believe Barbour wouldn't be calling for federal help, but at the same time why isn't Jindal marshalling his state's resources?

the GOP goes ape shit when there is a suggestion that the government get involved in industries when they are profiting - i.e., curbing CEO bonuses, etc. - or when there is a suggestion that self-regulation doesn't work, but when there is a problem they expect the government to take over the responsibility for fixing the mess? Seems like the GOP wants their laissez faire cake with a glass of publicly supported milk to wash it down.

64. Bobby had a chance to pounce on the president today at the presser.
But Bobby is the type that attacks people when their back is turned. A typical schoolyard punk. Obama would have jerked a knot in Bobby's ass in a face to face exchange and Bobby didn't have the balls to talk any shit. And speaking of shit, I noticed that Diaper Dave kept his trap shut too. Did I see a cloud of flies behind Dave or was that an oil slick?

He just couldn't bring himself to go toe to toe on camera. He's more a back shooter type creep.

71. Better Check Cry Baby Bobby's diaper ASAP...
I think it's as full of shit as Dave Vitter's.

Cry Bobby is full of more shit that BP Bob and Baghdad Bob put together. Trouble is he's lost his nads when he goes face to face with the object of all his venomous swill. The only balls Cry Bobby has is his tar balls.

73. I thought that smaller government and run-away capitalism
was their answer to everything??

I am tired of all the people out there that talk out of their mouths and butts at the same time. Changing their words to fit the scene.

Nobody can just tell the truth anymore

74. But Big Oil is allied with the GOP. So we're damned if we do and damned if we don't.
If the military takes over. The GOP will cry socialism. If we don't take over BP could let the Gulf of Mexico become a giant pool of oil. Then the GOP will say it's all Obama's fault for not taking over. So I think the best course is to take over and get blamed for fixing the problem BP obviously can't fix.
