Man said of Burge: 'I was just thinking he was a mad man'

As Melvin Jones stood half naked, handcuffed to a wall, former Chicago Police Lt. Jon Burge allegedly attached an electrical device to his penis and sent such a painful shock to his groin Jones said he can barely talk about it nearly 30 years later.
“He put it on my junk,” Jones testified Thursday. “I can’t
because I’ll pass out.”
Jones, in his late 50s, said Burge first ran the contraption along an Area 2 radiator, causing it to spark while questioning him about a murder on Feb. 5, 1982.
“He said his name was Lt. Burge and asked me if I was ready to confess and if I knew him. When I said, ‘No,’ he said I would know him before I would leave here,” Jones said.
“. . .I was just thinking he was a mad man.”
Jones said another detective in the room pretended not to hear Burge’s threats before Burge shocked Jones’ foot and inner thigh. Burge, holding the wire attached to a “cigar-box” shaped machine, then graduated to Jones’ genitals, the homeless former gang member said.

Wonder why the national media isn't picking up on this story. I bet because its not good publicity for the torturers among us.
