Fired right wing nut bus driver extradited from Thailand for harassment and identity theft.

PORTLAND -- A former TriMet bus driver who was accused of harassing agency and union leaders from abroad has been extradited to Oregon.

Stenger was fired in 2004 after using racial slurs directed at an employee of a Hawaiian themed restaurant. While in uniform, he also kicked in a door and assaulted an employee.

He appealed the firing, but union members voted not to back him.

Stenger then began a string of threatening emails to union officials and TriMet management. He then amped up the attacks from abroad.

4. Something seems strange here

It says that he was extradited and was arrested in Hawaii.

Its not easy to go to Hawaii from Thailand and normal extradition would go back to a mainland port under ICE escort.

I am guessing that the Thais revolked his VISA and showed him the door and he returned via Hawaii on his own in an attempt to enter the country and avoid arrest.
