Weekend of Unity & Peace: Oct. 19-21, 2007
From www.unityandpeace.org: Timed to coincide with His Holiness’ upcoming visit to the US and Canada, and in honor of his Peace works, we at monterey media inc. have orchestrated the nationwide Weekend of Unity & Peace with award-winning film 10 Questions for the Dalai Lama as the catalyst. October 19 - 21, 2007 is designated as a weekend of individual events designed to bring our communities together in a celebration of understanding, unity, tolerance, peace, and oneness. So far, over 140 Hosts across the USA and Canada have registered to participate. One has only to gaze at the newspaper, turn on the television news for fifteen minutes or have a community discussion group to possess the awareness that our world is wounded and in need of peaceful efforts to heal. This motivational and fun weekend is designed to bring together people who care and want to make a difference.

About the film: If you only had one hour what would you ask? The Dalai Lama shines as a universal symbol of Peace and Unity. Promoting a greater understanding of philosophy and cultures, this film allows the viewer to participate in an intimate conversation with the Dalai Lama – most likely asking the very same questions you would ask. Please visit www.thedalailamamovie.com.
