Keep Your Eyes Peeled For Snowflakes
Last week I bypassed a Lenox Christmas snowflake ornament for $1.50 in a thrift shop. For some reason I thought Lenox snowflakes wouldn't be collectible like some of the sterling snowflakes (Gorham, Lunt, Reed & Barton, etc.). I found out later that particular snowflake was selling between $35 and $50 on ebay and, of course, it was gone from the thrift shop the next day. Anyhow, keep your eyes open for all snowflakes. The 1991 Swarovski snowflake recently sold for over $1,400. MMA (Metropolitan Museum of Art) sterling ornaments from the 70's and 80's sell in the $200+ range, as do some Gorham snowflakes. The 1996 Lenox snowflake, which is porcelain, sells in the $200 - $300 range.

1. Thanks for the heads up! I don't sell on ebay (except for a motorhome
last summer) so I'm just interested in the Christmas market in general. Thank you.
