Hmmmm.... does this ring a bell?
.."But since then there's been a proliferation of loose nuclear weapons, mainly in the hands of terrorists, that could cross presumably a border, that could be smuggled in in a cargo ship with our very weak port security."

Governor Bill Richardson at tonight's debate, apparently. It makes me want to SCREAM! The only thing he left out was "in the belly of a plane".

:grr:

Even before this it was dawning on me that I had an unreasonable dislike of Richardson. Now I don't think it's unreasonable.

1. There were a couple of times that he sounded very Biden-like.
He doesn't bother me that much anymore, because he is not even in the race.

2. A friend of mine, in New Mexico,
hates him; says disaster, lazy, out only for himself.

3. I can't stomach him anymore
I am still shocked that he suggested to send Cheney to Pakistan.

4. He comes across as such a
desperate self-promoter and now he's borrowing from Joe, just like the rest of them. Oh well, they did all say "Joe's Right".

Here's a quote from an article today:

"Biden and Dodd learned a valuable lesson: Expertise in foreign policy can only take you so far. In their absence, the race for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination is empty of such specialists. Richardson does not the judgment and Clinton, Obama and Edwards lack Dodd and Biden's experience."

6. I think if Richardson were to be anyone's VP
He'd be terrible at facing the Republican in debates.

Standing there reminding people of his resume non-stop isn't going to work.
