Anyone here try Nutri-System? Sorry to go off-track here but something
has to be done here and before I make the investment I'm trying to get some feedback/input from those who have tried or know someone who has. The thought of it being delivered to the front door and not being seduced in the store has some strong points with me. Sorry for non-pol question but I trust you guys...

1. I haven't
but you could check the Internet for customer feedback. There isn't much of any that you can't find these days.

2. Weight Watchers online
Worked for me...before I got pregnant, of course....lost 20 lbs pre pregnancy.

But you have to be disciplined: No meetings, weigh-in every week yourself, etc. There is a message board for support and questions.

3. Do you do better with a regimented approach -- like Nutri-System would
be? Or a guideline that you follow?

I've done well on Atkins AND one which is essential Atkins which is more low-fat, called Kimkins. On Kimkins I lost 30 lbs in a month -- I kid you not.

I did the BEST when I went vegan, all organic food, back to the earth type of thing -- and felt better than I ever had in my life.

Anyway, check out Kimkins -- amazing stories and lots of support on the website. You pay a one-time fee to access particular areas -- like $60 or so, but there's plenty on the site for free that will give you a good idea.

I tried Nutri-System years ago, but found when I had the pre-packaged foods all I did was think about what/when I'd be eating next. For others, it frees them up from exactly that -- they don't have to think about it.

Big help, huh.

5. Daily exercise & no food after 5pm works for me.
I lose 3 pounds a week on this routine. Exercise & go to bed hungry! I don't diet during the day, either. I don't eat crap, like French fries, candy & shit, but I don't count calories & I'm never hungry during the day. Just at night when I'm in front of the tube & all the commercials are retaurant commercials. ;)

At least it seems that way. :7

6. Or like a diet my friend swears by. Don't eat all day, have 3-4 big glasses
of wine at about 5:00, go to bed. Repeat daily.

9. I'm going to try the "get your ass up and stay away from the computer" diet.
I gained 5 lbs, and they say Vote for Joe all over them.

The last time I gained was in 2004...same thing, different politician.

12. I haven't but my sister did years ago...
and I did try some of the stuff. I'm not sure how the food has changed over the years, but I would say some of it's ok, and some of it was baaadddd....but they did have a killer chocolate mousse. ;-)

She lost a lot of weight, but at this time, she probably weighs more than she ever has.
