test to see if I've learned enough from my friends here to post images. Here goes

That should be a photo of Spirit Bench at Dharma Gardens in Oakland, Oregon.

ON EDIT - that worked well... this one shows Sequoia Sempervirens (Coast Redwood) and Shasta Red Fir which I grew from seed. The fence in the background shelters the sequestered Gardens

.

Much love and respect to the megaflora.

6. You are very kind...
The monk merely plants and husbands. The Holy Mother gifts the miracles of birth, life, death and rebirth. And the Wheel turns.

9. What a lovely garden. It looks like it would be a wonderful place to ponder.
Nice photos, too!

I found a Michigan White Pine seedling that had sprouted in a flower pot near the pine in my yard (my favorite tree in the yard). It was only about an inch tall, so sweet, but so perfectly white pine. I kept it going for a year, but it passed this past fall, I think from too much attention. I'm going to keep my eye out this spring for another "victim" to mother. Actually, I have a green thumb usually, so I was disappointed by its loss. This time, I think I'll give it a little more credit as far as how to know how to take care of itself. LOL

12. Hey, Crispy....
you get to see a couple of my trees eventually after all, huh? Yes, I spend a lot of time on this bench, reading and looking out over the village below. There are several other benches scattered around on the many paths. When they get to visit, my grandson and granddaughter sit with me on the pictured bench at dusk. We beat hand drums, "calling the spirits". Lots of birds, silver gray squirrels and deer most often respond, harmonious with the evening wind. I'm building a drum tower up amongst the redwoods and maples in the sequestered part of the Gardens. It was all a bare hillside in 1972 when we built the house. These pictures are a few years old. Everything keeps growing, blessed be.
