Biden's National strategy for combatting breast cancer
Edited on Mon Oct-15-07 11:58 AM by tsegat01
“No woman should be turned away from early detection or treatment because she can’t pay for it,” remarked Sen. Biden.

“One of my highest honors is I’ve been named a Pink Ribbon Crusader by the Avon Foundation for my work to support breast cancer causes. And I was priviledged to have been awarded the Profiles In Progress Award as the national sponsor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“And it’s not just me. My wife, Jill has received the Spouse’s Award from the Cancer Research Foundation of America for her twenty years of leadership on this issue.”

1. Well, I got tears, dammit
He is so good

After watching this video went to the "A Bipartisan Way Forward and wished I could have heard the whole conversation. Hell, the media isn't about to allow us that info. B#stards!

Then saw Biden's education video and that one finished me off, he commented, "A child is more than a test score". We all know kids that want to attend college but were slackers, didn't really understand how important those "tests" were and were relegated to Community Colleges. The CC are necessary, but have noticed that they might be lacking what many young people need, and that is inspiration. They are young and many don't really have a clue. I have some grandkids that are in college and doing really well and another that dropped out due to being a slacker. He is smart but can't get the inspiration thing going. The cost is one of his issues. True, if he really wanted an education he would make the sacrifice. We have helped with the cost issue but, try to with all 3 of them, he lacks the burning desire that is necessary when you are not even a B student. The repubs love to keep the masses uneducated. Clinton was good in that area. Most Dems are. Clinton got more cops on the streets, and guess what, crime went down. Biden is someone I truly feel cares about the World and issues at home. Sooo, why is he lagging so far behind. Sick, sick......

2. Biden was a "slacker" in college for a while
He finally got his act together and hit the books. I've seen that in many bright young people.

When Clinton was president crime also went down because of a strong economy and more job opportunities.

The media sucks - thank god for the Internet!

3. Fear not!
as most polls go they call land lines. as we all know the MAJORITY of phones here in the united states are Cell phones, and thus not called. the Accuracy of the polls don't reflect the public at large.

4. And very few people I know answer their landline phones
anymore. They let the machine pick up calls.
