Venezuela Raises Dairy Prices 30% After Devaluation

April 5 (Bloomberg) -- Venezuela raised government-set price caps on milk and dairy products today as much as 30 percent in an attempt to boost benefits for producers and head off shortages of basic goods.

The government, which controls the prices of more than 100 basic food goods, raised price caps for sugar, rice and chicken last month by as much as 35 percent

1. It's just the inflation rate.
I looked at my tax filing for last year, and I felt I was a millionaire, until I woke up and realized this was 2010, and it costs 35 bolivars to go to the movies, and 120 bolivars for the large pizza at Pizza Hut. I feel sorry for the people who can't afford things now.
