UPDATE: Venezuela GDP Fell 5.8% In 1st Quarter - Central Bank
CARACAS (Dow Jones)--Venezuela's gross domestic product shrank 5.8% in the first quarter, the central bank said Tuesday, as shortages of electricity and water, wage increases that aren't keeping pace with inflation, and banking problems all take their toll on economic output.

The contraction last quarter matched the fourth-quarter rate of -5.8% and seemed to reinforce the warnings ...

1. If oil prices don't go up...
We're on the edge of something deep. Unfortunately, our govt is answering with more and more confrontation instead of dealing with the crisis by creating common objectives/dynamics with the civil society.

Oil shock: best performances in Latin America
Oil bust: worst ..... ..... ...... for Venezuela

Over and over. No change in that.
