CUBA: Sinister collaboration between terrorists, mercenaries and U.S. authorities

Among those organizations, a body rarely mentioned before in such activities: the Fundación Rescate Jurídico, stirred up attention. A journalistic investigation reported on for the Roundtable by Lázaro Barredo Medina, editor of Granma, revealed that Rescate Jurídico Inc. was registered with the state of Florida as a "non-profit organization", headed by Santiago Alvarez Fernández Magriñat.

One fact that speaks volumes is that the date of its registration is listed as June 24, 2005 - one month after the arrest of Luis Posada Carriles in U.S. territory and six weeks after Fidel denounced Alvarez Fernández Magriñat for smuggling into the United States the terrorist responsible for the Cubana airliner sabotage, aboard the Satrina, a boat belonging to another of his foundations, the so-called Caribe.

Another clarification: the Rescate Jurídico Inc. state registration document indicates that a substantial portion of its funding comes from governmental sources.

Barredo recalled that using agencies, foundations, corporations and businesses as cover for channeling funds intended for subversive activities in Cuba has been a regular practice among counterrevolutionaries encouraged by successive U.S. administrations.

Examples of this process can be seen in the role played by the USAID (U.S. Agency for International Development) and NED (National Endowment for Democracy), which between 1993 and 1999, funded more than 300 and 60 anti-Cuban groups and projects, respectively.

1. Excellent article. Glad to see they've got the goods on this dirtbag Alvarez.
It would be beautiful to see Marta's sources of handouts from the U.S. taxpayers dry up, so the nasty witch had to live on the same kind of income as other Cubans.

She shouldn't be paid for betraying her country. That's dirty.

It's against the law here, by the way. If Marta were an American citizen, accepting money from the Cuban government to do the same things she'd have to be doing them in prison. It's AGAINST THE LAW IN THE U.S., JUST AS IT IS IN CUBA.

2. Marta has committed treason
In Cuba, collaboration in any form with the US is a treasonous act because the US is an official enemy of Cuba.. Yet, before long the US will dub her a political prisoner when she goes to the slammer.

It is important to take care of treasonous situations promptly with the full weight of the law. This was something that Chavez did not do after the 2002 coup and it is coming back to haunt him.. You can't let so many gusanos escape to Miami and not expect them to plot against you all over again. I know Chavez was trying to bring the country back together by being so lenient with the coup plotters, but this approach never pays with these bastards.
