ATLANTA - 11Alive News first broke the story about several anti-Obama billboards that popped up around Atlanta two days ago.

On Friday we found out who's behind them.

"There's a group of entrepreneurs, small business owners, that have frankly just said, 'we've had enough' and they're taking the gloves off," says Atlanta author and motivational speaker Tommy Newberry.

Newberry is an outspoken conservative whose books include, "The War on Success: How the Obama Agenda is Shattering the American Dream".

He has now come forward as the spokesman for what he says are about a dozen business owners who hatched the idea for the billboards about two months ago.

He says they are political conservatives who are unsatisfied and troubled with the direction the Obama administration is taking America.

on a billboard along I-75 in north Florida last week as I was driving back to Gwinnett -- just that phrase, with no mention or picture of Obama. I'd bet the same people are behind the ones in Atlanta.

maybe the republican dream of not being able to cheat their way into taking over another election. But this administration is doing a hell of a lot better in one year for this country than bush and the republicans did in eight years. Stuff like this is what makes me angry. What in the hell is wrong with these people. I have never said this before but since all this crap appears mostly in the south I am saying this and damn it to hell they are a bunch of RACIST THROUGH AND THROUGH AND UPSET BECAUSE WE HAVE A BLACK PRESIDENT. NOW...

but OTOH the people whom come up with such BS billboards aren't really much of the thinking kind anyway and there is really no "logic" per se to be found with people like them. It would be nice if they were made to answer the question of HOW exactly Obama is "shattering the American dream" if and when anybody with any journalistic skills/integrity and gumption bothers to ask such a simple follow up question. :eyes:

Do a sting operation to see if they refuse to put up Democratic type billboards.
Keep a record of what messages go up on their billboards.
Find out what network or other they associate and make it difficult for them.

"Obama Socialism"; What exactly does that mean? I am aware of what Socialism is since I am a Democratic Socialist, but when they say things like "Stop Obama Socialism" I would like to know the specifics of what they are referring too, it just does not make any damn since until they explain them selves in a coherent manner.
