Shortly, it will be obvious how easy we let the GOP off with Roberts and Alito!

The GOP will be a pain in the ass about the next nominee! No matter who we pick. And we will once again look like fools because we let Roberts through so easily. So we will end up trying to make the GOP happy, and pick someone who will not protect our views. They are smelling blood now with the 2010 elections coming up and will be much worse than they were with Sotomayor.

2. Then I guess President Obama should put forth another equally controversial nominee.
Let them alienate yet another segment of the population with their naked bigotry. They really screwed the pooch over Justice Sotomayor. Let's do it again!

3. We had to keep our powder dry.
Besides, SC Justices are not really important in the day-today lives of Americans. It's not like they can tax us or anything. :sarcasm:
