Here's Where Van Hollen Stumped For Incumbents

A campaign committee chairman's travel schedule is typically an indication of which candidates need fundraising help.

Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chairman Chris Van Hollen (Md.) just hit the stump for incumbents. It's yet another sign that House Democrats are looking to play a lot of defense this cycle, and it's instructive to note where he went.

Van Hollen stopped in Des Moines on April 7 to headline a fundraiser for Rep. Leonard Boswell (D-Iowa), who represents a marginally Democratic district.

Van Hollen also was the main draw for a duo of fundraisers for Rep. Steve Kagen (D-Wisc.) -- one in Madison and one in Milwaukee, Wis.
