Senator Scott Brown not running for president.
This morning, Brown announced he was not running in 2012, or at least dropped a few words to this effect on the Today Show.

Scott Brown rules out 2012 presidential run, backs Romney

From this title, you could think he is endorsing Romney, but here is his full quote:

"Well, I'm going to support Governor Romney, and I'm going to see who's out there in the field and then make my decision," he told Gangel.

Which, of course, lead to an explanation afterwards,

Colin Reed, a Brown spokesman, said Brown had supported Romney before and "will be with him again if he chooses to run."

Count on Brown to mangle even the simplest statement.

1. Since Palin, the threshold bar for running for President...
seems to be ever lower. Who the hell would think he was a logical choice to run? Of course, who the hell would think Palin was. :eyes:

Yes, Europe, much of the US is, indeed, insane.

2. Misses a very important point
Is he not running for president against Rachel Maddow, who is also not running for president? Or is he not running for president not against Rachel Maddow, who is, once again, also not running for president?

3. this man's an idiot. But he's in for only another year and a half. I hear that

Vickie Kennedy is mulling a run for the U.S. Senate here in MA. She's sharp, she's an attorney, and she's NOT SCOTT BROWN.

7. I have said it before and I will say it again, that man is not the brightest bulb.

I love Mass and am there all the time. I live in CT and go to Springfield, Chicopee, and of course Agawam for Six Flags New England. Been to Boston numerous times since I was a kid as well. But some people there made a huge mistake with Brown, just as many people did here in CT with Lieberman. Thankfully, Brown can be gotten rid of sooner then Lieberman can.

8. Brown and Lieberman are up re-election at the same time

So, they'll likely both be gone at the same time.

9. You are correct. Two years from now for Brown.
Can't come soon enough! I do wonder if Lieberman will even run here in CT, his poll #'s are really bad, not even getting to 40% approval in the last few polls.
