Point on the GOP talking point "Obama's Katrina"
Maybe I have missed someone saying this.
If wingers are using Bush's response to denigrate Obama, are they not therefore admitting that Bush's response was an unmitigated disaster?

1. When the dead bodies of 3,000 Americans...
start washing up on the shores of the gulf, then...MAYBE...PERHAPS I'll try to entertain their concept. Otherwise, it's just assinine false equivalency.

2. I wouldn't entertain it then.
Because like the rest of their ridiculous talking points, this one is deranged. It only has legs because of the completely RW owned media.

There are many issues that anger me toward Obama but these "real" issues are never mentioned in the RW corporate owned media.

3. I am not giving it approval, I just realized that after 6 years of defending
the dumb fuck's non-response to Katrina, they have tripped themselves up in their own talking point.
And of course the only similarity is location.

5. It just goes to show--the deaths mean nothing to them. It's a political thing, pure and simple
Katrina was "bad for Bush" and this is "bad for Obama."

The deaths of 3,000 peasants mean nothing to them.

7. wells
We are watching the 'new and improved' Obama government to see how it handles this crisis.

So far.... too little information for the public. Oil slick maps are days old, no determination on exactly how much oil is being allowed to escape, BP has hardly been criticized, there are questions about damages when there should be none - or at least official statements to the effect that all will be reimbursed by BP, etc., etc.

I'll bet they are happy as hell that it isn't moving as fast as first feared.

Oh, what is the amount of soap on the water going to do to the marine life and what will be done to counteract that 'chemical' spill?

EPA should be able to answer all those questions, yesterday.

Frankly, I am not impressed. But TGID. Thank Gawd Its Democrats.

10. So is the 'soap'
Maybe doubly bad? From what I have heard the toxicity is increased when the two are combined.
