5. "Don't know anything about this dude, just speaking in general terms. " Who
Mollohan or Olivieri? They're both tools.

The trick is to vote people in, not replace a tool with a tool.

7. Apparently, Olivieri ran to the right of Mollihan (not much room over there).

He might win in November but won't be much better than a Repug. Mollihan was pro-life so no great loss.

11. Trust me, this is a huge loss for Dems.
Oliverio is so far to the right of Mollohan. He has already stated he won't vote for Pelosi for Speaker. He is anti gay, Mollohan isn't. Oliverio ran on a tea bagger platform, against healthcare, saying it cut senior benefits. etc. Both are anti choice, true, but the similarities end there.

8. Olivieri is an anti-choice conservative who ran in opposition to healthcare reform.

Even more conservative than the guy he beat.

13. Congress is going to lurch STRONGLY to the right in November.
Gonna get ugly--hopefully we can keep Pelosi as Speaker.

14. I would rephrase that to say I hope we can keep a Democrat as speaker.
Edited on Wed May-12-10 08:41 AM by totodeinhere
But as far as Pelosi goes, I can think of several other Democrats who would IMO make a better speaker.
