QPAC poll has Sestak tied with Toomey, Toomey well ahead of Specter
HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) -- A new poll shows that Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter's Democratic primary challenger is gaining ground on a leading Republican candidate in a theoretical fall matchup.

The Quinnipiac (KWIHN'-uh-pee-ak) University poll released Thursday shows former Republican congressman Pat Toomey running about even with Democratic U.S. Rep Joe Sestak, 42 percent to 40 percent. Toomey led Sestak by eight percentage points a month ago.

The poll also shows Toomey leading Specter 47 percent to 40 percent. Toomey is considered the front-runner for the GOP nomination.

The telephone poll of 1,161 Pennsylvania voters was conducted during the week that ended Monday. The sampling error margin is plus or minus 2.9 percentage points.

Quinnipiac says the Sestak-Specter primary is too close to call. The primary election is Tuesday.

6. think how far he has come back against Specter
I'm not worried about him handling Toomey. Toomey is a nutjob and PA may not be deep blue but we aren't deep red either.
